Leagues Alive is over for 2016 and what a success! The EFCL thanks everyone who participated, whether as an attendee, a presenter, a host, a sponsor or supporter, or as a volunteer - each of you helped to make it the success it was. With over 100 folks registered and 60 leagues represented, we know more and more leagues are appreciating the opportunity to learn new skills, concepts and league-related policies which help their jobs as board members easier.
Below are just a couple of the evaluation remarks we received on the 4th annual 2016 Leagues Alive Conference. If you have some follow-up thoughts, please don't hesitate to share them via email.
“I liked how they (presenters) made people get up and meet each other, and share ideas about how to engage people/communities. I liked hearing about what other leagues are doing, especially ideas that work.”
“As a young board member, and new to community involvement, this information session provided me with valuable skills I can use for many years.”
Leagues Alive 2016 Memories
This annual conference event is all about community leagues - providing volunteer board members with educational support and the opportunity to network with each other. The 2016 conference was held at MacKwan University and roughly 110 league board members attended, representing 60 community leagues. Click on the picture below to see some of the photos of the day.
