Let's go to Peru for lunch!
Well ... we did go to Peru, and to Poland, and to Egypt, and to Hungary, and to Indonesia, and to Iran - the list goes on and on. With over 65 cultural pavillions, it's easy to go around the world for a bite to eat. Especially when you part of one of the largest, if not the largest, cultural and food festival in the nation - the servus Heritage Festival!
But our hard-working volunteers and staff didn't just eat; they made some great friends, introduced more good folks to the Community League Movement, helped folks with directions, played games and gave away a tonne of prizes, including the ultimate in good times - bubble sport games.
Thanks to the generousity of Orbis Sports, the EFCL was able to give away one game prize pack each day of the Heritage Fest. The prize pack included 1.5 hours of play time, 20 bubbles and two coaches to make sure the game stays on the "straight and narrow." Talk about fun!
While only one league can reserve the "Bubble Game" at a time, we hear one of the leagues just might be making it part of its #CLDay event.
It wasn't just leagues that were winning, courtesy of their residents attendance to the EFCL pavillion, EFCL visitors also had a chance to win Metro Cinema 6-packs, Papa Murphy's gift coupons, soccer balls and bags when they played football toss and other fun games with the volunteers. Lucky Genia L. also took home a game of lazer tag for 6 players, courtesy of Lazer City, just for filling out a survey.
servus Heritage Festival 2016 was a lot of fun and we thank our volunteers, board members and staff for making it another successful event for the EFCL.
