This Revision Means Reduced Funding

I'm the Vice president at Crestwood but also a director with the West Zone minor soccer.

We have heard information about AGLC setting a new policy for charities to have to pay taxes on the

rental of the casino for their 2 day casinos.

This money is to be given back to the casino owners, but taken from the profits originally given to

the charity that volunteered / worked the casino.

This would mean a decrease in money coming back to the charity.

This in combination with the new idea of pooling casino profits province -wide, will considerably

reduce the money the community leagues in Edmonton have to depend on for community strengthening,

programming and neighborhood enhancing to benefit our members.
