Volunteer Alberta has developed a new website specifically for volunteer managers. This online resource is designed to help volunteer managers connect and collaborate with each other, share resources and help establish best practices that would be a valuable asset to the profession.
Submit your nomination for the Stars of Alberta Volunteer Awards by Friday, September 24. The award honours volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to their community in three categories: adult, youth and senior. Starting in February, Grow Forward Grovenor will be offering informal gatherings focusing on Resilience of our communties. We will be bringing you movie screenings, discussions, seed sharing, expert talks and the chance to get involved in the up and coming Community Garden project. The series is open to all Session Two - Thursday March 18th , 7pm: Movie Screening “The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil” , followed by a discussion on local food growing.

The Alberta Council of Technologies and the AB Chapter— Canadian Green Building Council, propose the following forums for the purpose of helping define the status of clean technologies in Alberta and advancing their commercialization.
