Getting to Know Knottwood ‘Rise and Shine’ Community Engagement Open House
Come find out what we have learned about our community through the Getting to Know Knottwood Project. A free hot and cold brunch buffet will be available from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. There will be FREE skating, crafts and activities from 11:00 a.m.

Hatha Yoga in Meadowlark
Class is suitable for all levels as different options for the postures will be provided from beginner to intermediate. Please bring your own mat and a blanket.
You must be a member of any city community league and provide your membership number to register or drop in.
When: Starts today Wednesday, January 11th for 12 weeks until March 28th from 6:30 pm till 7:45 pm. Late starts will be pro-rated.

Cost: $9.00 per class for pre-registered (total cost of $108.00) and $12.00 for drop in

Learn to Play Hockey
Beginners only! This is to teach boys and girls ages 6 to 12 the rules and fun of the game. Children will need CSA approved helmets, their own skates and hockey sticks when attending class.
Starts tomorrow, Thursday January 12 and runs for seven weeks to February 23 from
6:45 pm to 7:45 pm

For children 4 to 6 years from 11:00-11:30a.m. and then for ages 7 to12 from 11:30-12:15pm. Activities will be inside if weather is too cold!

Beginner Learn to Skate at Yellowbird East Community League
This program is geared towards children from 4 to adults with limited or no skating experience. Participants will learn basic skating skills at their own pace. CSA approved helmets are mandatory. If weather is -20 or colder, lesson will be cancelled and made up in March

Babysitting Course in Delwood
For youth aged 12 to 17 years. The eight hour course teaches the importance of being a responsible babysitter and all you need to know. Please bring lunch and snacks for the day. The course is instructed by a City of Edmonton employee. Registrants receive a certificate upon completion of the course

Vegetarian Potluck and Special Speaker in Pleasantview

Our casino is coming up. Casino revenue is vitally important to Strathcona Community League, and we need your help to make it a success.
When: Our casino dates are February 20 (Family Day) and 21St. There are day and evening shifts available. You do not need to be a community league member to volunteer, though you must be 18 or over.

Winter Light Mill Creek Adventure Walk
A brand new story adventure for very modern times!
Set in the snowy beauty of the Mill Creek Ravine Park, the light-filled paths are animated by featured creatures of the Creek: the Magpies, Ravens, Beavers and Skunks. There is drama afoot; news of creek Developments have got the animals in a tizzy—and on the look out for Aurora’s Light.
Lantern making, fire watching, path walking, and a trip to the snowy fun of Aurora’s Winter Meadow are all a part of this exciting outdoor winter evening with friends and family. Mill Creek Adventure Walk is free and suitable for all ages.
