The EFCL has amended the rules of its infrastructure program to let leagues use the funds for detailed examinations of their hall deficiencies.
The rules changes were made in response to leagues that had discovered serious problems in their hall, such as faulty foundations or mould contamination. In each of these cases, the cost of the investigation was beyond the scope of a general infrastructure review, which the EFCL had been helping to subsidize with city funds.
The new rules call for the league to contribute 20% of the cost of the investigation, with the federation providing the rest (to a maximum of $20,000 per review).
Any league interested in pursuing this opportunity is asked to contact federation executive director Allan Bolstad. The EFCL will utilize MHPM Project Manager’s Inc. to find contract consultants able to do the work.
