The meeting on Monday June 21 at the EFCL office opened up dialogue between hockey registrars and membership directors, and as a result everyone’s concerns and suggestions were heard.
Regarding verification of membership purchase for other program registrations, hockey registrars have been issuing a receipt for the corporate community membership fee.
Additionally, the initial list of registrants up to August 15 will arrive within one to two days of August 15. This is a significant improvement over the past years in the ability for information to be transferred to leagues. Cheques will follow shortly after the list and there will be no stale dated cheque issues.
No changes to the process will be made at this point but as originally planned we will revisit the process and the chosen corporate rate after we have some real data this fall.
We ask leagues to keep track of the quantity of hockey memberships received, as well as the numbers received in the last year or two,. If you have that information, forward it to us when we request it later in the year to assist in the re-evaluation.
