The EFCL is working with the City of Edmonton’s Next Generation Committee to help bring more 18-40 year olds into community leagues.

In order to provide a little extra incentive, the two groups are lining up some cash prizes for community leagues that take up the challenge. The amount of the cash prizes will be announced in April. Leagues will be able to use the money to help pay for acapital project in their neighbourhood.
In addition, the Edmonton Community Challenge committee is working with other partners to host four events in June to engage all Edmontonians and build pride in our neighbourhoods.
The events are as follows:
Neighbourhood Cleanup Challenge: June 5th with Capital City Clean Up and YESS
Bike Tune-up Challenge: June 12th with the Edmonton Bike Commuters and bikeology bike monthwww.edmontonbikes.ca/www.bikeology.ca
Canned Food Sculpture Challenge June 26th with THE WORKS art festival and the Edmonton Food Bank
Edmonton Photo Scavenger Hunt June 1st-26th all over the city at places where community matters to you.
More information will be forthcoming with a special website so make sure to check out www.efcl.org and www.edmontonnextgen.ca for updates, and sign up for our ENEWS!
If your league would like to participate in the Community Challenge, please send the name phone, and email of your team captain to michael.janz@efcl.org.
The team captains are responsible for coordinating the team, and distribution of information and supplies. Participants will be encouraged to play for their own neighbourhood team, but if their team is not participating they will be drafted to another neighbourhood of their choice.
