You are invited to a Low Density Zone & Mature Neighbourhood Overlay WORKSHOP
As a follow-up to the City’s November 20th Open House, EFCL is organizing Workshops to help you further understand the implications of the numerous regulation changes being proposed to create a more compact city in low density zone areas of new and mature neighbourhoods. The Workshops will help you prepare an informed response to Council. Council will be discussing the proposed changes at the January 28th meeting of Executive Committee meeting of Council. It is important that Council hear from Leagues and individual citizens, both the positive and negative feedback.
Workshops are being planned in four different locations of the City in December and January.
The first Workshop will be held 7 pm, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Glenwood Community Hall, 16430 97 Avenue. Please RSVP to Bev.Zubot@efcl.org so that sufficient resource material is available.
Subsequent Workshops will be held in a central NE location, a central SE location and a central SW location. You can choose a location nearest you. Watch for announcements in the next e-news.
In the meantime, if you want to take part in an e- discussion of potential changes to zoning regulations in mature neighbourhoods, visit the forum forum.planninganddev.info. Join FLICKR to add your photos and comments of the inspiring, the good, bad and ugly infill developments at http://www.flickr.com/groups/yeginfill/.
Read our summary of the zoning and overlay changes that will radically effect what can or cannot be built in most City neighbourhoods.
