Interest Builds for Community League Day
By admin @ 2:58 PM :: 1722 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: EFCL News, E-News - Currents & Updates

Neighborhood-Based Festival on Sept. 18:   Community leagues around the city are beginning to plan events for community league day, which has been set for Sept. 18.

Examples of activities planned to date include: carnivals, pancake breakfasts, block parties, knitting circles, fall fairs, harvest festivals, frisbee golf and barbeques.

In its inaugural year, Community League Day is designed to bring people together in neighborhoods throughout the city, through activities planned by the city’s 152 community leagues.
The EFCL will work with various sponsors and partner agencies to promote all of the events, so that citizens of Edmonton are aware activities taking place in their area.
Planning is also underway for a major kickoff event in Churchill Square, in the week prior to September 18.
All leagues are encouraged to put together plans for activity and pass the information along to the EFCL. We also welcome any leads on sponsors.
Please provide responses to the following questions to michael.janz@efcl.org or call Michael at 437-2913.
