The Report on Edmonton’s Children and Youth was released on February 9th, 2009.  In order to ensure we are producing a useful resource for the community, and to continue to build on the quality of the report, it is important that we hear from colleagues, agencies, community members, businesses and others that have accessed it.

The Edmonton John Howard Society, through the Family Violence Prevention Centre offers the FURNITURE DONATION and MOVING PROGRAM. 

We collect donations of decent used furniture, the basics (beds, dressers, tables/chairs, etc. and limited other items such as: dishes, pots & pans, and cutlery, pictures, bedding etc.  All of these donations are collected and then donated back to those who are affected by domestic violence, such as women and children, seniors etc

The town-hall style discussion will follow a talk entitled, "Flu Pandemic Risk What Can You Do?".  The talk will contain useful facts about flu pandemics and will help people make informed statements about their strategies for survival.  The talk and research will be conducted by Dr. Barker.
