With more than 130 Alberta municipalities, community leagues, and schools participating in Communities ChooseWell in 2011, the re-launch of this energizing health promotion program was a successful and memorable one.

The Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society (EBC) is launching a series of cycling education courses beginning in July. Designed for all levels of cycling abilities, the courses are perfect for Edmonton residents wanting to feel more comfortable and confident riding a bike casually or as a commuter.

We are currently looking for community space for our 2009 – 2010 program season beginning September. This will include both program (Class) space as well as performance space for our youth productions.

Join others in our community for a two-day workshop in the skills and consciousness of empathy, honesty and self-connection in the context of becoming a “third presence” with others who are in conflict.

Car sharing is analogous to time-sharing a vacation property, where a group of owners jointly owns and manages an asset for their common benefit. Utilizing the tools/structure of a cooperative, a fleet of vehicles can be managed to provide access to car-based mobility, reduce the economic burden of private vehicle ownership, and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions overall.

The town-hall style discussion will follow a talk entitled, "Flu Pandemic Risk What Can You Do?".  The talk will contain useful facts about flu pandemics and will help people make informed statements about their strategies for survival.  The talk and research will be conducted by Dr. Barker.
