21st Annual Emerald Awards
Nominations for the 21st Annual Emerald Awards are now OPEN!  
The Emerald Awards recognize extraordinary achievements by Albertans in protecting, preserving, enhancing and sustaining the environment.
Nominations are accepted in eleven categories, including Youth, Community Group, Individual Achievement and Small and Large Business.
Nominations can be made by completing our online nominations form.
Nominations close on Friday, February 24, 2012.  Finalists will be announced in April 2012 and the 21st Emerald Awards will be presented on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
 
New this year:
* a cash award of $1,000 for the recipient of the Emerald Award in the YOUTH category
* an updated nominations form with fewer questions
* all nominations must include 2 letters of support/testimonials with their nominations
* the business category has now been split into Large and Small Business
* updated criteria are more clear
