EFCL's 2009 Volunteer Recognition Gala

Our Volunteer Recognition on November 13th was a success again this year. We had a great response with 24 leagues submitting their individuals and teams to be honoured on this gala evening. Councillors presented the awards and afterwards these heroes from our city were able to rub elbows with their peers while enjoying some jazz and wine. The power of hearing so many amazing stories from so many leagues on one night was uplifting. Shaw TV interviewed and filmed winners, CBC also covered the event, and the Examiner gave us exceptional recognition (below). We encourage all leagues to take this opportunity to show their appreciation to one special project team or individual and treat them to this exceptional evening.
